Grameenphone's BillPay service brings you a hassle free and secured solution to pay your DPDC (ex DESA), DESCO, Titas Gas, and PDB (PDB bills are applicable only for Chittagong, Cox's Bazaar, Rangamati and Khagrachari areas only) bills. You can easily pay your utility bills from your nearest BillPay marked shop or through your own GP mobile!
Standing in a long queue for paying bills is only something in the past now!
• What are the key benefits of paying through the BillPay service?
Availability: now you do not have to run around to different places for your bill payment. BillPay service is now at your side. Just go to your nearest BillPay marked shop and pay your bills or you can even pay your bill through your own GP mobile.
Convenience: through this service you can easily forget about the troubles of standing in a line, maintaining the schedules of the previous bill collection centers and also the difficulties of running around different places for the bill payment
Security: the service is itself highly secured as all transactions are strictly monitored by us and also by our partners namely, DPDC, DESCO, PDB and Titas and hence chances for discrepancy are avoided.
• Why BillPay is fully secured?
- It is a fully automated system: The BillPay system checks and records every transaction through computerized system very strictly.
- Automatic and instant update of the utility company account: We also ensure that your payment is instantly transferred to your respective utility company for automated ledger posting.
- You will get payment acknowledgement:
a. Instant notification to your mobile: The BillPay system sends an instant payment acknowledgement to your mobile to confirm that your payment has been received accurately.
b. Seal, Signature and money receipt on payment from authorized BillPay marked shops: If you pay from any authorized BillPay marked shops, you will receive a seal on your bill with a signature, date, and unique transaction identification number along with a money receipt. - We will keep all your payment records:
a. Check your payment status anytime: You can also check your payment status and other information from your GP connection by dialing *777# or calling our dedicated BillPay call center at 1200 (GP subscriber) or 01713234567 (other operator numbers).
b. Get hard copy payment records anytime: You can also collect half yearly or yearly payment statement anytime from Grameenphone centers to store as valid proof of payment.
• How can you pay bills from your GP Mobile?
To avail this service, you need to register through SMS by typing Reg followed by a space and then typing company code followed by another space and then typing the bill account number. Send this message to 1200. For example:
DPDC (formerly DESA) - Reg DPDC 12345678
DESCO - Reg DSCO 12345678
TITAS - Reg TTAS 12345678
BPDB - Reg BPDB 12345678
Here, "12345678" is an example for the account number. You need to type the account number of the particular utility company you are paying the bill to.
As soon as registration is complete, change the PIN number sent from the System. You can then start paying your utility bills from any Grameenphone authorized Bill-Pay shop.
• How can you pay bills from an authorized BillPay marked shop?
Take a copy of the bill and the required money to the nearest BillPay identified shop
If you include your mobile phone number (any operator) with your Customer No. or Account No. at your utility company through BillPay system, then you will receive bill receipt confirmation each time you pay. Mobile number inclusion is only required once.
Ask the retailer/shop owner to pay the bill through BillPay
After the payment is complete, collect the money receipt, from the BillPay identified shop. Check that you have received a confirmation message. If you do not have a mobile phone, check the confirmation message at the BillPay shop operator's mobile phone.
• Can Non GP subscribers or non mobile users also use this service?
Consumers who do not use mobile phones or use any other non GP number can also pay bills following the same process mentioned above and call the BillPay Call Center number to check if the payment has been cleared.
• When can one pay the bills?
A GP subscriber can pay any of the bills anytime of the day through his own phone
A non GP subscriber or non mobile phone user can pay the bills from any GP authorized BillPay marked shops everyday between 9am-9pm!
• What if your Utility Company says that your Bill has not been paid?
Grameenphone is by your side in any difficulty: We also stand by you in case any dispute arises from your utility company regarding any of your payments through BillPay; to get such assistance just call the BillPay call center.
Just visit any of our 2000+ authorized BillPay marked shops with your Bill copy, Bill Book or SMS notification and ask for the service. You will receive a confirmation message on your or your associated mobile immediately after the bill is paid. Once you receive the confirmation message, collect your bill with a seal on your bill, a signature, date, unique transaction identification number, along with a money receipt.
• Is there any additional charge while paying through the BillPay marked shops?
A minimal service charge is taken by the shop operator. The charge is s follows,-
